Basil Allam was appointed Country Manager of Chevron Cyprus Limited in July 2025 and is based in Nicosia. He is responsible for strategic leadership and overall performance of Chevron’s business in Cyprus, including the Aphrodite natural gas development.
Prior to his current role, Basil served as Advisor to Chevron’s Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President, Oil, Products & Gas, based in Houston, Texas.
Basil joined Chevron in 2005 as an electrical engineer and has since taken on positions of increasing responsibility in the United States, Angola, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, and Cyprus. His career spans major capital projects, engineering operations, corporate strategy, and business leadership
Basil earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
